Public Information Session to Discuss Riverside Drive Modifications Tomorrow

* Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal [to May 2015]
Members of the public are invited to attend an information session Tuesday night, February 23, to review design changes to the Charlottetown Perimeter Highway on Riverside Drive from Park Street to Murchison Lane. The session will be held at the Murchison Centre, 15 St. Pius X Drive in Parkdale between 7 and 9 p.m.

This project will see Riverside Drive widened to four lanes from the Grafton Street intersection to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. New intersections will be constructed at Exhibition Drive and Garfield Street. Construction is expected to begin in May 2010.

Engineers from the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal will be on hand at the meeting to take questions from the public about the planned changes, the construction timetable and the traffic management objectives to be met.

This project is intended to improve traffic flow and safety along one of the busiest sections of highway on Prince Edward Island.
