Petroleum Pricing

The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Friday, January 15, 2010:

• Gasoline prices will increase by 1.0 cent per litre (cpl);

• There will be no change in diesel, furnace oil or stove oil prices at this time; and

• Propane prices for Kenmac Energy Inc. will decrease by 0.7 cpl.

Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 100.3 cpl to 102.4 cpl.

Average wholesale gasoline costs over the past two weeks necessitate the price adjustment announced today.

The Commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on February 1, 2010.
