Premier's Office
Premier Robert Ghiz today congratulated skip Brett Gallant, lead Jamie Danbrook, second Anson Carmody and third Adam Casey on their win at the Canadian Junior Men's Curling Championships, held in Salmon Arm, British Columbia. In addition to winning the championship, all four members of the PEI team were named to all-star teams Sunday morning.

"On behalf of all Islanders, I want to congratulate Brett, Jamie, Anson and Adam on their outstanding accomplishment," said Premier Ghiz. "It takes a great deal of hard work and dedication to win a national championship such as this, and we are all extremely proud of what these young men have accomplished. We will be cheering them on as they represent Canada at the 2009 World Junior Curling Championships in Vancouver."

Premier Ghiz made his remarks in Calgary, Alberta, where he is attending the Council of Atlantic Premiers’ Communications and Business Outreach Mission.
