The Prince Edward Island Liquor Control Commission’s decision to cancel the Special Premise Liquor License SL 93-0005) of Dog River Golf Links located in Clyde River for a one-year period, effective February 1, 2009, is being appealed. The license holder has filed notice to the Commission requesting a hearing by an adjudicator.
The Liquor Control Commission concluded that the following violations of the Liquor Control Act, Liquor Control Act Regulations and Commission’s Licensee Policy Manual took place at this licensed premises on December 31, 2008 - January 1, 2009:
1. Failure to clear premises within prescribed time
2. Allowing liquor into licensed premises
3. Staff consuming while on duty
4. Minors in premises
5. Selling or supplying alcohol to minors
6. Sales of alcohol not properly recorded
7. Selling alcohol below minimum price
8. Non staff behind the bar area
9. Not checking ID’s
10. Not serving in a responsible manner
11. Underage entertainer
12. After hours consumption
13. Disorderly conduct
14. Improper mode of service
15. Licensee not having valid Responsible Beverage Server Certificate.
In accordance with the Liquor Control Act, the Minister Responsible for the Commission will be requested to appoint an adjudicator to hold a hearing into the alleged violations and proposed license cancellation.
