The Provincial Fire Marshal's Office has been called in to investigate a Fire that occurred at a residence on Route 14 in Burton at civic address 8181.
The O'Leary Fire Department received the call at 04:59 a.m. and responded along with the West Point Fire Department.
There were no injuries in the fire. The residence was vacant at the time of the fire and is only used on a seasonal basis. The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time. Investigators from the Fire Marshal's Office will be at the scene tomorrow along with experts from the Province's Electrical Inspection section of Planning and Inspection Services. There was insurance on the property. The building is a two-storey residential occupancy, and it is a complete loss.
