December 7, 2008 * Communities, Cultural Affairs and Labour [to Jan 2010]The Provincial Fire Marshal`s Office has been called in to investigate a Fire that occurred at a vacant residence located at civic 42035 Western Highway Route 2 in St. Peters St. Paul owned by Mr. Arthur Bernard.The call came into the Tignish Fire Department at 03:50 am Sat December 6, 2008 and Mutual Aid was requested bringing in the Miminegash and Alberton Fire Departments.The residence was at the time under renovation and suffered severe damage from the fire however renovations were not the cause of the fire. The Fire Marshal`s Office has determined the cause of this fire to be Arson and has turned over the file to the West Prince RCMP for further Criminal Investigation.
