License Suspended For Dooly’s, Montague

The Prince Edward Island Liquor Control Commission has suspended the special premises license of “Dooly’s, Montague”, license number SL-00-052 , located in Montague, for the following period of time, that is:

for a three (3) consecutive day period - commencing 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2008, and ending 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2008.

Adjudicator Mary-Lynn Kane, Q.C., confirmed the sanction imposed by the Liquor Control Commission and was satisfied that violations of the Liquor Control Act Regulations and Licensee Policy Manual took place under the following sections:

Section 78 of the Liquor Control Act Regulations:

All licensed premises shall be vacated not later than one half hour after the prescribed closing hour.

and

Sections 4.1 and 4.5 of the P.E.I. Liquor Control Commission Licensee Policy Manual:

Section 4.1 Drinks must be consumed and the premises cleared of patrons one half hour after the prescribed closing hour.

Section 4.5 No person, including working and non-working staff, are permitted to consume any liquor on the premises after the prescribed hours of operation.
