January 9, 1998 * Health and Social Services [to Nov 2005]Health and Social Services Minster Mildred Dover accepted the resignations of the Queens Region Health board chair and two members today with regret. "I would like to extend my thanks to these individuals who have made valuable contributions to the health system, and particularly to Tom DeBlois who has served the Queens Region and Queen Elizabeth Hospital with distinction for many years," said the Minister. "I acknowledge the Board members' need for further clarification of their role. Based on the advice of Regional Board members, the regional board structures have remained unchanged, and now they are asking for further direction in their roles. I want to assure the Boards and the public that the issue is on Government's agenda as an immediate priority," she said.
