The Department of Agriculture and Forestry's cable television program, Focus on Resources, will be adding a new segment when it airs this Tuesday night. "Inside Small Business" has been added to the line-up of the weekly half-hour program and is being produced by the Department of Economic Development and Tourism.
Winner of the 1997 Galaxi Award for Excellence in Programming, the show features the latest news and information on agriculture, forestry, fisheries, aquaculture, environment, and now small business. The new segment will feature small businesses from across the province in a variety of industries, from technology to crafts to manufacturing.
"This program provides an opportunity to highlight the successes of small business on PEI," said Wes MacAleer, Minister of Economic Development and Tourism. "We are excited about working with our partners in the Department of Agriculture and Forestry to show the diverse number of products produced on PEI and the quality of services we provide."
Focus on Resources is hosted by former CBC anchor Gerry Birt and airs every Tuesday at 7:30 pm on Cable 10 in Charlottetown, Cable 7 in Summerside and on Country Cable. The "Inside Small Business" segment will be hosted by reporter Gail Ferris.
