January 16, 2008 * Agriculture and Forestry [to May 2015]Bonnie Rogerson, a high school teacher in Kinkora, has been presented with a Teacher Recognition Award for excellence in incorporating agriculture into the classroom. The award is presented annually by the Prince Edward Island Agriculture Awareness Committee. “Bonnie has been teaching agriculture for a number of years and incorporates agricultural topics into her classroom activities above and beyond her responsibilities as a classroom teacher,” said Mary Laughlin, who presented the award on behalf of the committee. “She is an enthusiastic advocate for agriculture awareness and is most deserving of this award.” Rogerson was nominated for the award by several of her colleagues and students.Media Contact: Island Information Service
