Tentative Agreement Reached with Teachers

A tentative agreement was reached today between the Prince Edward Island Teachers’ Federation and the Prince Edward Island Education Negotiating Agency which represents the Eastern School Board, the Western School Board, la Commission scolaire de langue française and the Department of Education.

The current contract with the teachers expires June 30, 2007.

Details of the proposed new agreement will remain confidential until the Teachers’ Federation has the opportunity to inform its members in accordance with the ratification process.
