As previously announced, the lounge license of “The Gulnare Restaurant & Pub,” license number LL-40-154, located in Cardigan, is suspended by the PEI Liquor Control Commission for a twenty-eight (28) consecutive day period - commencing 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2007, to Tuesday, May 29, 2007.
The Liquor Control Commission had ruled in January, 2007, that violations of the Liquor Control Act Regulations took place under the following sections which read as follows:
Section 70. (a)
A licensee shall not permit any liquor to be taken from or into the licensed premises otherwise than is permitted by the Act and these regulations.
Section 70. (j)
A licensee shall not sell or supply any liquor on his licensed premises to or for any person who is apparently in an intoxicated condition.
Section 70.(l)
A licensee shall not permit any person under the age of nineteen years to enter, be in or remain in the rooms in which bars are located or liquor is being served during the hours liquor is being consumed.
