Premier Pat Binns has set Monday, November 17 as the date for the by-election in the district of Charlottetown - Kings Square.
Premier Binns says he wants the district to be represented in the fall session of the Legislature. "Given the change to single-member districts and the fact the Legislature will deal with matters important to all Islanders, I felt it important that the by -election be held this fall to avoid an extended period of time without direct representation from Charlottetown - Kings Square. I also wanted to provide some time between the municipal vote and the provincial by-election."
