Murray Myles, Returning Officer for the Egg Producers of Prince Edward Island, the Hog Commodity Marketing Board and the Dairy Farmers of Prince Edward Island has announced results of recent elections held to fill vacancies on these boards.
Ronald MacWilliams, West Prince District; Ronald Maynard, Summerside District; Jeff Weeks, Charlottetown District and Theo Kouwenberg, Montague-Souris District, were elected to the Dairy Farmers of Prince Edward Island Board by acclamation for three-year terms commencing the first meeting of the Board following the annual meeting of producers which is scheduled to be held on March 26.
Leith Murray of Baltic, and Peter Vriends of Covehead, were re-elected to the Egg Producers of Prince Edward Island Board for two-year terms commencing April 1, 2007.
Since no nominations were received to fill vacancies on the Hog Commodity Marketing Board for Kings and Queens counties, pursuant to section 11(6) of the Hog Commodity Marketing Regulations, the incumbents, Willem de Boer, Kings County, and Gordon Lank, Queens County, were considered to have been re-elected to the Board for three-year terms commencing on April 1, 2007.
