Souris Hospital Emergency Room Closure

Terry Campbell, administrator for Souris Hospital and Colville Manor today advised that the Souris Hospital Emergency Room will be closed effective 8 p.m., Sunday, November 20 until 12 noon, Monday, November 21.

Souris Hospital will not be offering emergency outpatient coverage during these times. For medical emergencies, the public is advised to call 911 or seek emergency services either through the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown or the Kings County Memorial Hospital in Montague.”

Mr. Campbell noted, “This closure of emergency services was taken only after an exhaustive search to fill the on-call physician schedule. We regret the inconvenience this current situation causes for the public.”
