Donation for Hurricane Katrina Victims

Islanders wishing to make donations to aid the victims of Hurricane Katrina may do so at any liquor store in PEI. Donation cans have been placed at cash registers at the PEILCC’s 19 locations across the province.

“Like everyone, Islanders have been moved by the pictures and the stories of suffering all along the Gulf Coast of the United States,” said Premier Pat Binns. “We know they want to help and this will give Islanders a convenient way to make a donation which will be used to make a tangible difference.”

All donations will go to the PEI Katrina Relief Fund. The Premier has indicated his willingness to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina in any way possible. The fund will be used to assist in those efforts.
