July 26, 2005 Premier's OfficePremier Pat Binns and the Provincial Cabinet will be travelling to the Southern Kings area today as the annual series of community Cabinet meetings across Prince Edward Island continues this summer. Premier Binns and the Provincial Cabinet are continuing their annual tradition of holding meetings in Island communities throughout the summer and early fall. Since the start of the practice by Premier Binns and his Cabinet in 1996, Cabinet meetings have been held in many communities right across Prince Edward Island. “Bringing Cabinet to Island communities helps develop a greater understanding of the importance of maintaining open lines of communication with Islanders,” said Premier Pat Binns. “It’s a great chance to meet and hear from ordinary Islanders working to better their communities.” Cabinet will conduct its regular business until 11 a.m. to be followed by presentations from the Murray Harbour Community Council, the Murray River Community Council, and the Northumberland Community Development Corporation.
