Premier Binns Expresses Condolences Upon Passing of George Key

Premier Pat Binns today expressed condolences to the family and friends of Mr. George Key upon learning of his passing yesterday.

Mr. Key was a prominent business and community leader in Summerside for many years. Mr. Key was also involved in municipal government as a former member of Summerside Town Council and Mayor of Summerside. Mr. Key also served as Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Prince Edward Island.

“George Key was a tireless worker to help improve his community and province in commerce, public life and through many volunteer efforts,” said Premier Binns. “George Key was also a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by his family and his community.”
