June 25, 1997 * Economic Development [to Jul 1998]Provincial Parks Manager, Greg McKee, announced today that all provincial parks are now open. The 27 camping and day-use parks will offer some excellent programs this year in addition to the usual services and facilities. Park programs have become an integral component of attracting visitors to the parks. Programs offered this year include beach lifeguards, naturalist programs, family events, arts and crafts and community festivals. "An attractive new parks brochure has been published this year," says McKee, "and we expect to see lots of happy campers, swimmers and picnickers at the locations across the Island."
