Tourism Advisory Council Information Session Includes 2005 Marketing Launch

The 2005 Marketing and Media Plan was released today by Tourism PEI and the Tourism Advisory Council (TAC) in Charlottetown during Tourism Conference 2005. Co-chairs of TAC, David MacKenzie and Rob Shaw joined Minister of Tourism, Philip Brown, as the TAC members announced details for tourism research, product development and the 2005 marketing campaign.

“The tourism industry on Prince Edward Island is re-grouping under the mandate of the Tourism Advisory Council,” noted Mr. Brown. “The committees are working together to advance the industry through a well-researched marketing plan, supported by a strong tourism product to be delivered to the customer.”

The annual presentation is showcased to members of the tourism industry of Prince Edward Island before the marketing plan is implemented through the various media to the customer, the travelling public.
