Tourism Employment Showcase to Focus on Tourism Careers and Employment Opportunities

* Tourism [to Jan 2010]
Tourism careers and employment opportunities will be the focus of the Tourism Employment Showcase taking place at the Holland College Tourism and Culinary Center on February 23, 2005 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Up to thirty employers from the tourism industry are expected to be there to recruit and interview for the 2005 tourism season, capturing a great opportunity to promote careers in tourism. The theme of the showcase, “Opportunity is Waiting for You,” speaks of the potential for those pursuing careers in tourism and also encourages education and training in the tourism sector.

Holland College Tourism and Culinary Centre and members of the Tourism Industry Association will be on hand to promote careers in tourism and to help demonstrate the importance of the tourism industry on Prince Edward Island. A resume service will also be available through Career Skills.

The Showcase is being coordinated by the Tourism Industry Association of Prince Edward Island (TIAPEI), in partnership with the Holland College Tourism and Culinary Center. For more information, phone (902) 566-5008.

Funding for this project is provided by the Canada Prince Edward Island Labour Market Development Agreement, co-managed by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada and the provincial department of Development and Technology.
