October 12, 2004 Premier's OfficeThe 2004 Provincial Government Employee United Way Campaign is now underway with a goal to raise $127,500. “Many staff members work diligently on the provincial government campaign committee and as volunteer canvassers to help reach our campaign goal,” said Ron MacMillan, Chair of the Provincial Government Employee United Way Campaign. “Employees of the provincial government have a long history of giving to the United Way of Prince Edward Island; the first provincial government campaign was in 1964.” Proceeds from the campaign will be collected through traditional payroll deductions as well as special events, including a barbeque, pancake breakfast, raffles and casual days.
