Honourable Jeffrey E. Lantz, Minister Responsible for the PEI Liquor Control Commission is pleased to announce that the Queen Street Liquor Store officially re-opens tomorrow, Thursday, May 29th at 4 p.m.
The newly renovated store features cold beer, wine & spirit coolers, an increased selection in spirits and fine wines from around the world, and a truly better shopping environment for our customers.
Minister Lantz noted, "We are proud of the role that the new liquor store outlet will have in the revitalization and re-development of downtown Charlottetown. The increased service to our valued customers will be complemented by a fresh new look for our downtown store."
The renovation of the Queen Street Liquor Store is part of the Commission's strategic plan to renovate all its facilities across Prince Edward Island, and is part and parcel of the Commission's mandate to manage the distribution of beverage alcohol in a manner that meets the needs of the consumer and provides suppliers with controlled access to the marketplace in a fair and reasonable basis.
Mr. Urban MacDonald, the Store Manager, commented, "In order to meet today's customer needs, it is necessary to provide the services the customer demands."
Hours of operation for the Queen Street Liquor Store: 9 a.m. - 10 p.m., Monday to Friday, and 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday.
