A company that develops customized e-learning and knowledge management solutions for clients throughout North America is the latest to announce that it's moving to the Atlantic Technology Centre (ATC).
Content Alive, a division of Provinent Corporation, builds custom, computer-based learning solutions for clients that include Canadian Tire, Flight Safety International, Scotiabank and Diebold.
The company's tenancy was announced today by Development and Technology Minister Mike Currie.
"We have identified e-learning as a growth area and we are very pleased Content Alive has chosen Prince Edward Island for their newest expansion," said Minister Currie. "They will add another dimension to the growing cluster of companies within the ATC. Our goal is to have a diverse group of companies with a broad base of strengths. This will help develop new opportunities for Prince Edward Island."
"The decision to launch operations in PEI positions us to take advantage of the innovative facilities and collaborative resources at the Atlantic Technology Centre and the world-class talent the Island has to offer," said Tony Currie, vice president of sales, Provinent Corporation. "With the expansion of Content Alive into an end-to-end learning and knowledge management solution provider under parent company Provinent, we see many opportunities to grow and develop our relationship further."
The company will lease 1700 square feet of space at the Atlantic Technology Centre and will create ten jobs this year in Prince Edward Island.
Seven months after the facility opened, ATC is nearing capacity with 85% of the available space under lease with 17 companies and more than 200 employees now working in the building.
Technology PEI is the Government of Prince Edward Island's lead agency in the development, adoption and use of information technologies in business and community in the province.
