January 9, 2002 * Community and Cultural Affairs [to Jun 2007]Gail Shea, Minister of Community and Cultural Affairs, has announced that an appointment has been made to fill the position of Francophone Cultural Affairs Officer in the Department. Cecile Arsenault of St. Raphael in Prince County began work in the position early in the New Year. Ms. Arsenault is well known in the Acadian and francophone community, having previously worked in the Acadian and Francophone Affairs Division of the provincial government, the PEI Museum and Heritage Foundation and in the tourism industry before joining the Culture, Heritage, Recreation and Sport Division of the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs. "We consider this position a key one in the province's commitment to deliver quality services to our francophone community, said Minister Shea." I am very pleased we were able to attract a candidate with Cecile Arsenault's capability and experience."
