MacAulay Named CEO Of Staffing And Classification

Premier Pat Binns today announced the appointment of Jeanette MacAulay as the Acting CEO of the Staffing and Classification Board. She replaces Ron Lewis who has retired from the public service. The appointment becomes effective immediately.

Ms. MacAulay has been employed with the Province of Prince Edward Island since 1978, most recently serving as CEO of the Health and Community Services Agency," stated Premier Binns, "she has extensive experience in government and human resource management."

Ms. MacAulay is a graduate of the University of Prince Edward Island and joined the provincial government as a management trainee for the Civil Service Commission which involved 11 assignments in a range of government departments. Following that she was employed as a marketing analyst in the Department of Agriculture. In 1994 she joined the Hospital and Health Services Commission as a Planner and then as Director of Policy and Planning.

She served two years with the Government Reform Office and in 1993 joined the Queens Health Authority as director of Program Integration. In 1995 she was appointed CEO of the Health and Community Services Agency.

Premier Binns also paid tribute to Ron Lewis. "Mr. Lewis has been an integral part of the staffing aspects of the public service for many years, serving as CEO of the Staffing and Classification Board as well as a Director with the Civil Service Commission, and is recognized for his prominent role in the Civil Service.
