Stratford Place Liquor Mart To Open On Friday

The P.E.I. Liquor Control Commission is pleased to announce that the new Stratford Place Liquor Mart will officially open on Friday, January 31, 1997, at 10:00 a.m.

The Honourable Pat Mella, Minister Responsible for the P.E.I. Liquor Control Commission, will officially open the new store with the traditional cutting of the ribbon. His Worship Michael Farmer, Mayor of Stratford, will also be in attendance.

The new 5,000 sq. ft. store located in the Stratford Place Mall increases the PEILCC's retail outlets to 18 throughout the province. The new Stratford Place Liquor Mart is a bright, friendly store featuring state of the art displays and lighting and designed to handle the expanding town of Stratford and area.

This expansion to Stratford is part and parcel of the PEILCC's mandate to manage the distribution of beverage alcohol in a manner that meets the needs of the consumer and provides suppliers with controlled access to the marketplace in a fair and reasonable basis.
