Skills Survey To Be Conducted in West Prince Area

Manpower Services Canada Ltd. will conduct a survey of the residents in West Prince to determine the labour skills of the available workforce in the area. An inventory will be compiled and a database will be created using the survey information collected from people in the communities from Wellington to Tignish.

The information will be used to encourage new employers to establish future business in the West Prince area. The objective is to attract new jobs to the area; however, participation in the survey will not guarantee future employment.

Manpower Services Canada Ltd. will hold a number of survey sessions in the area. Exact dates and times for the surveys will be advertised in the local newspaper.

Funding for this project is provided through the Canada/PEI Labour Market Development Agreement, a co-managed agreement between Human Resources Development Canada and the PEI Department of Development and Technology
