Premier Calls February 26th By-Election

Premier Pat Binns today announced that a by-election for the district of Morell-Fortune Bay has been set for Monday, February 26.

"I made a commitment to the residents of Morell-Fortune Bay that they would be represented in the Spring Session of the Legislature, and today's announcement ensures that there is no undue delay in honouring that commitment. The upcoming session of the House will deal with a number of important matters, and I felt it vital that every Islander be afforded direct representation," stated the Premier.
