An evening workshop for Islanders interested in examining effective ways to change their lifestyle is being sponsored by the Department of Health and Social Services, the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs and the PEI Active Living Alliance.
Conducted by Dr. Michael Vallis, a health psychologist with the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre, the workshop recognizes that at this time of the year many Islanders make resolutions to lose weight, exercise more, spend more time with their families or quit smoking. Often we start to make these changes but find it difficult to continue.
Dr. Vallis will help us to understand why it is so difficult to change our behaviour. He will explore tips on how we can effectively change our lifestyle.
The workshop will take place in the Lecture Theatre of Holland College (Charlottetown) on Wednesday, January 24th from 7:00-8:30 PM.
There is no charge to attend the workshop.
