January 18, 2001 * Office of the Attorney General [to Jan 2010]Attorney General Jeffrey E. Lantz expressed his sympathy today to the family of former Supreme Court Justice Melvin J. McQuaid. "Our justice system could not work without the dedication and hardwork of fair and capable justices," says Minister Lantz. "Former Justice Melvin J. McQuaid was a shining example of fairness and dedication to the justice system of Prince Edward Island throughout his years of service on the bench." Attorney General Lantz stated that Former Justice McQuaid was also dedicated to his family and to his community and his presence will be missed by many people.
