July 31, 2000 Premier's OfficePremier Pat Binns and his Cabinet will continue its practice of meeting in communities outside of Charlottetown during the Summer and Fall months. Tomorrow, the Provincial Cabinet will meet at the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge in Belfast. This is the first time any Cabinet has met in the Belfast area. Cabinet will conduct its regular weekly business until 10:30 am, at which time it will convene with the Woods Islands Development Corporation. Meetings with the Belfast Development Corporation and the Belfast Community Council will follow. Wilbur MacDonald, MLA for Belfast-Pownal Bay, will be present for the meetings with local groups. "The Belfast and Wood Islands area is very important as it is many visitors' first glimpse of Prince Edward Island," stated Premier Binns.
