Islanders To Be Given The Opportunity To Learn More About Development and Technology Programs and Services

Prince Edward Island residents are going to get a chance to learn more about the programs and services of the Department of Development and Technology and Prince Edward Island Business Development. Thirteen events entitled Development and Technology Information Sessions: Developing Business and Community Partnerships are being planned for the month of June.

The thirteen information sessions will be held in communities across the province. The sessions will feature information on how to access community and business development services.

"Both the Department of Development and Technology and PEIBD provide programs that Islanders can use to maintain and strengthen their communities and their businesses," said Mike Currie, Minister of Development and Technology. "It is my hope that Islanders will take the time to learn more about these programs and how best to access them."

Each of the thirteen sessions will feature displays about various programs and services. Community and business development officers will be on hand at each location to give a brief explanation and to answer questions.

Times and dates for the sessions are as follows. All information sessions begin at 7:00 p.m.

Monday, June 12th: Tignish - Tignish Heritage Inn, and Eastern Kings - Eastern Kings Community Centre.

Tuesday, June 13th: Wellington - Le Village, Mont-Carmel.

Wednesday, June 14th: Kinkora - Kinkora & Area Business Centre, and New Glasgow - Old Mill Restaurant.

Monday, June 19th: O'Leary - O'Leary Community Sports Centre, and Murray Harbour/Wood Islands - Wood Islands Women's Institute Hall.

Thursday, June 22: Kensington - Lotus Gardens Restaurant, and Georgetown - Georgetown Lions Club.

Monday, June 26th: Alberton - Alberton Community Centre, and Morell - Morell Fire Hall.

Wednesday, June 28th - St. Peters - Dr. Roddy Community Centre, and Tracadie - Tracadie Community Centre.
