Call For Nominations For Environmental Awards

Each year the Department of Technology and Environment recognizes and honours citizens for their special commitment to the environment. An Environmental Award is offered in each of five categories: individual citizen, business or government agency, citizen group or organization, education and youth (age 18 and under - individual or group).

Recipients will have been instrumental in enhancing, conserving and protecting the environment, and / or increasing public awareness and understanding of our environment.

The Environment Advisory Council will select award recipients based on the nominees' environmental contribution as reflected in the nomination material submitted. Nominations must be submitted by May 5, 2000 to the Department of Technology and Environment.
