"Between Generations" Initiative Working To Advance The Knowledge Economy In PEI

Technology and Environment Minister, Mitch Murphy today announced a unique educational technology-based project currently underway in Abram-Village, PEI. "Between Generations" is a special initiative funded by Technology PEI under its strategic mandate to increase community preparedness for the new knowledge-based economy. As the project name suggests, generations cooperate to create a world wide web site. A youth club in the community is collaborating with local veterans from the Wellington Legion to establish a permanent tribute to the memories of the war experience.

"This project is a living testament to the courage of our veterans and the contributions made to our country," says Mitch Murphy, Minister of Technology and Environment. "Through the "Between Generations" initiative, the Acadian community in Abram-Village has once again demonstrated their effective use of technology."

The project will run through the summer months with an official launch of the site in early fall.
