Petroleum Pricing

The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Monday, August 15, 2016:

• Gasoline prices will increase by 1.0 cent per litre (cpl); and

• Furnace oil, stove oil, diesel and propane prices will remain unchanged.

Pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 96.9 cpl to 98.0 cpl. The maximum price for furnace oil remains at 66.7 cpl, plus tax.

Increases in the wholesale price of gasoline noted over the past two weeks necessitate the price increase announced today.

The Commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on September 1, 2016.
