April 25, 2016 Transportation, Infrastructure and EnergyThe temporary spring closure has been lifted from the Brookvale Nordic, Strathgartney and Bonshaw Provincial Park trail systems. Recent dry weather and favourable winds have allowed the trails to dry sufficiently to withstand recreational use.The trail system is now open for all user groups including hikers, cyclists, trail runners and dog walkers. Temporary closure was brought in three weeks ago in order to preserve and protect the trail systems from erosion and use during the wet spring conditions. Users of the trail system are still asked to be watchful of conditions as they use the trail and to enjoy this outdoor space with consideration for the environment and for other trail users.Media Contact: Ron Ryder
