Feb 5: Public health and primary care cancelling some patient appointments

Due to inclement weather and challenging road conditions, some primary care and public health services are cancelled for the remainder of the day.

Public Health has cancelled all speech language pathology and audiology appointments across the province for this afternoon.

Additionally, all primary care appointments at the Montague Health Centre and Eastern Kings Health Centre in Souris have been cancelled for the remainder of the day.

All cancelled patient appointments will be rescheduled.

Islanders are reminded to please call ahead to reconfirm their appointment or to let staff know if they are unable to make their appointment. Islanders are also reminded to call 8-1-1 for non-urgent health care advice or 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency.

Health PEI will continue to update the public as decisions are made to delay or cancel additional health care services.
