Provincial flu vaccination program offering additional walk-up flu shot clinics

Health PEI’s provincial flu vaccination program will be offering several “walk-up” flu clinics across the province to help address the demand from Islanders wanting to get their flu shot.

Islanders do not require an appointment to get a flu vaccine from any of the walk-up clinics listed below:

Wednesday, November 18:

9:00am to 3:30pm

St. Francis of Assisi Church (5 Lowther Drive)

Cornwall

1:00pm to 7:30pm

Trinity United Church (90 Spring Street)

Summerside

Thursday, November 19:

9:00am to 3:30pm

St. Peters Cathedral Hall (All Soul's Lane)

Charlottetown

Friday, November 20:

8:30am to 3:30pm

Jack Blanchard Family Centre (7 Pond Street)

Charlottetown

9:00am to 3:30pm

Montague Wellness Centre (21 Sullivan Drive)

Montague

The flu vaccine is free for seniors age 65 and over, children aged 6 - 59 months, pregnant women and household contacts of pregnant women. A $7 administration fee will be charged to all others wishing to be vaccinated at the clinics.

Health PEI is reminding Islanders that, with the exception of the walk-up clinics listed above, the flu vaccine is available by appointment only. To get a flu vaccine, Islanders will need to call the toll-free flu vaccination program number – 1-855-354-4358(4FLU) to make an appointment. Further walk-up clinics will be determined based on need.
