Emergency Department and Collaborative Emergency Centre at Western Hospital closed today

Both the Emergency Department and Collaborative Emergency Centre (CEC) at Western Hospital in Alberton will be closed today, Thursday, September 17. Due to unforeseen circumstances, there is a temporary lack of physician coverage, and the clinical decision has been made to close the department for patient safety reasons.

The Emergency Department will open as scheduled tomorrow morning at 8 am and the Collaborative Emergency Centre will re-open tomorrow evening at 8 pm.

If you have any health concerns or need immediate health information, call 8-1-1 to speak to an experienced registered nurse for advice on the best course of action.
