The depth of knowledge and experience of Health PEI’s Board of Directors has increased with the addition of two new members, says Minister of Health and Wellness Doug Currie.
“We are lucky on Prince Edward Island to have a diverse mix of skilled community leaders guiding the direction of health services in our province,” said Minister Currie. “New board members Kay Lewis and Alex MacBeath will bring valuable perspectives to the board that will help strengthen our combined efforts to build an integrated and sustainable health care system for Islanders.”
Kay Lewis was appointed to the board effective September 1, 2014 to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Dr. Donna Murnaghan. Alex MacBeath replaces Peter Doucette.
“On behalf of Health PEI’s Board of Directors, I would like to thank Peter and Donna for their excellent work and dedication to the province’s health care system over the past several years,” said Health PEI Board Chair, Phyllis Horne. “I’d also like to congratulate Kay and Alex and look forward to working with them. Their experience and knowledge will be a strong addition to the board.”
