Register for upcoming pesticide certification exams

* Environment, Labour and Justice [to May 2015]
Pesticide applicators and vendors whose certificate expires this year will have an opportunity to re-certify in the coming weeks.

The Department of Environment, Labour and Justice has scheduled a series of re-certification exams beginning Thursday, February 9 through to Tuesday, March 31 at various locations across the province.

The applicator certificate covers those who apply pesticides for use in agriculture, landscaping, seed/seed piece treatment, structures, biting fly control and greenhouses. The vendor certificate is for domestic or non-domestic use. Certification of applicators and vendors helps to ensure the safe and responsible use of pesticides.

The fee payable for each certificate is $75. A five-year certificate will be issued to those who complete the exam successfully.

For a full schedule including dates, times and locations, please see advertisements in The Guardian and Journal Pioneer. Those wishing to write the exam are asked to pre-register by calling 902-368-5024.
